1. How toy rentals work
Mali Krog allows members to borrow toys from a shared collection for a defined rental period.
By placing a rental booking, you agree to these Rental Terms, the Membership Terms and the Trust Deposit and Toy Care Policy.
2. Eligibility
Toy rentals are available to members with an active account, subject to the availability of the selected toy and any applicable booking requirements.
Members must provide accurate contact and delivery information and ensure that toys are used by children of an appropriate age under adult supervision.
3. Choosing a toy
Each catalogue listing should provide, where applicable:
- Toy name and photographs.
- Recommended age and relevant safety warnings.
- Description and intended use.
- Brand and model.
- Condition and any known cosmetic signs of previous use.
- Included parts and accessories.
- Cleaning and care instructions.
- Rental price in TOYkens.
- Availability and rental duration.
Please read the listing carefully before booking. Contact us if you need clarification about a toy’s suitability or condition.
4. Booking and availability
A rental is confirmed when the website or Mali Krog provides a booking confirmation.
Adding a toy to a basket or viewing it in the catalogue does not guarantee availability.
If a toy becomes unavailable after a booking has been accepted, we will contact you and explain the available options, which may include an alternative toy or a refund or credit where appropriate.
No replacement will be imposed without your agreement.
5. Rental duration
The standard rental period is 30 calendar days.
The confirmed booking will specify the applicable rental period, dispatch or collection arrangements and the return deadline.
The precise event that starts the rental period (dispatch, delivery or collection) will be communicated before the booking is confirmed.
Any agreed extension must be confirmed by Mali Krog in writing. An extension may depend on the toy’s availability for the next member.
6. Using and caring for toys
Members agree to:
- Use toys only for their intended purpose and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Follow age recommendations and safety warnings.
- Supervise children appropriately.
- Keep toys away from conditions that could damage them or create a safety risk.
- Store all pieces and accessories carefully.
- Report safety concerns, damage or missing parts promptly.
- Return toys with all included pieces and accessories, subject to normal wear and tear.
Members must not modify toys, remove safety features or attempt repairs without permission.
7. Returning toys
Toys must be returned using the return method and by the deadline stated in the booking confirmation.
Members are responsible for following the published packing and return instructions and retaining proof of postage or handover where applicable.
Please contact Mali Krog promptly if a return may be delayed or if you experience a delivery problem. Contacting us does not automatically extend the rental period. Any extension or alternative arrangement must be confirmed.
8. Late returns
A late-return fee of one-seventh (1/7) of the rental price for each working day of delay applies under the published Late Return Policy, subject to applicable law.
Weekends are excluded. The treatment of public holidays, any grace period and any maximum fee will be specified in the final Rental Terms.
We will explain any charge and how it was calculated.
9. Damage, missing parts and ordinary wear
Normal wear and tear is not charged to members.
Significant damage resulting from clear misuse or improper handling, or missing parts that materially affect safety or intended use, may result in a proportionate charge under the Trust Deposit and Toy Care Policy.
Any proposed charge will be assessed individually and explained to the member.
10. Safety concerns and recalls
Stop using a toy immediately if you believe it may be unsafe. Keep it away from children and contact Mali Krog.
We may suspend a rental, request the return of a toy or withdraw it from circulation if a safety issue is suspected.
11. Shipping and delivery
Delivery methods, costs, return arrangements and responsibility for shipping are explained in the Shipping and Returns Policy and shown before checkout.
Delivery estimates are not guarantees unless expressly stated.
12. Ending membership during a rental
Ending membership does not remove the obligation to return a toy already rented or to resolve legitimate outstanding matters under the applicable terms.
We will communicate any specific return arrangements when membership ends.
13. Consumer rights and disputes
Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable rights concerning distance contracts, unfair contractual terms or remedies required by law.
For questions or disputes, contact [Business email].
