How much does membership cost?
Mali Krog membership costs €15 per month. It includes 75 TOYkens and access to the Toy Library. A separate, refundable €30 trust deposit is also required. Shipping and any additional charges are shown separately before checkout.
What are TOYkens?
TOYkens are Mali Krog’s credits for renting toys. Each monthly membership payment provides 75 TOYkens. For reference, one TOYken is worth €0.20. They are not cash, a bank balance or a general-purpose payment method.
What if I don’t have enough TOYkens?
You can pay the shortfall at €0.20 per additional TOYken. Additional TOYkens bought to complete a rental are used for that transaction and are not added to your reusable balance.
How many TOYkens can I save?
You can accumulate up to 150 TOYkens in your balance.
How long can I keep a toy?
The standard rental period is 30 calendar days. The exact return deadline is shown in your booking confirmation.
What happens if I return a toy late?
Late returns: A fee of one-seventh (1/7) of the rental price applies for each working day of delay. Weekends are excluded from the calculation. The applicable return date and any further rules, including the treatment of public holidays, any grace period and any maximum fee, will be specified in the Rental Terms.
What if a toy gets scratched or shows signs of use?
Toys are made to be played with. Small scratches, fading, minor cosmetic marks and other reasonable signs of normal use are not charged to members.
What if a piece is missing?
We first assess whether the piece is essential to the toy’s function or materially affects its safe use. Where possible we try to replace the missing piece. A charge may apply only if the piece is essential, affects safety or significantly prevents the toy from being used as intended. Any charge is proportionate and never exceeds the toy’s second-hand market value.
What is the trust deposit for?
The €30 deposit is refundable and separate from your membership fee. It provides limited security for eligible outstanding amounts when your membership ends. It is not automatically used for damage, missing pieces or late fees while your membership is active.
How are damage or late-return charges paid?
Charges can be paid separately by card. Alternatively, an equivalent amount may be deducted from a future subscription in TOYkens, but only with your explicit consent. We never convert a charge into a TOYken deduction automatically.
What happens if I disagree with a charge?
Contact us. We will review the circumstances, consider any evidence you provide and explain our decision. We aim to resolve concerns fairly, transparently and with common sense.
What happens when Mali Krog takes a holiday?
We announce planned service breaks at least 30 days in advance whenever possible. During a break, new rentals may be paused while the website and catalogue stay accessible. Billing is paused or adjusted for days the service is unavailable, and no new TOYkens are issued for those days. TOYkens you have already collected stay in your balance.
